“O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those
who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children
together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you
were not willing! 38See! Your house is left to you desolate;
39for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say,
‘Blessed is
He who comes in the name of the
Lord!’ ”
Amos 9:15
15
I will plant them in their land,
And no longer shall
they be pulled up
From the land I have
given them,”
Says the
Lord your God.
I have been inquiring of the
Lord how is it Lord that you said before you went to the cross that the
Israeli “house is left desolate” yet you would never allow them to be
pulled up once you gave them the land again?
I realized as I studied that
the Lord is able to do both in His mysterious ways. He showed me first
that the house is left desolate when He is rejected. The verse in Mathew
23: 1- 36 is a scathing rebuke to the religious leaders who led the
people away from the Truth. The people then are led into idolatry by the
religious leaders as it states in Ezekiel 8:6
“6Furthermore
He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great
abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far
away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater
abominations.” Then in verse eight “12Then He said to me,
“Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in
the dark, every man in the room of his idols?” And concluding with
verses fifteen to eighteen.
15Then
He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn again, you
will see greater abominations than these.” 16So He brought me
into the inner court of the Lord’S
house; and there, at the door of the temple of the
Lord, between the porch
and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward
the temple of the Lord and
their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the
east.
17And
He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial
thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit
here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have
returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their
nose. 18Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not
spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud
voice, I will not hear them.”
The Lord states that the
leadership’s idolatry which He calls abominations in His house causes
the desolations. Even as Balaam knew that if he caused the wilderness
children to sin by sexual immorality and spiritual adultery through food
sacrificed to idols they would reap the curses of disobedience. Hence
the Lord acts in His jealous anger abandoning them as they are given
over to judgments.
I continued to ask the Lord
what are Your sentiments towards Your people Israel who entertain
occultism, organizations that are birthed out of raping, pillaging, land
lust, and greed that have done it in the Name of Yeshua, homosexuality,
licentiousness, witchcrafts, drugs, abortion, and all forms of idolatry
which are spiritual adultery? I began to read and listen to the book of
Hosea.
Ho 2:2&3 2
“Bring charges against your mother, bring charges;
For she is
not My wife, nor am I her Husband!
Let her put away her
harlotries from her sight,
And her adulteries
from between her breasts;
3
Lest I strip her naked
And expose her, as
in the day she was born,
And make her like a
wilderness,
Vs 10 10
Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers,
And no one shall
deliver her from My hand.
Ho 4:1,2,3a 1
Hear the word of the Lord,
You children of
Israel,
For the
Lord brings a
charge against the inhabitants of the land:
“There is no truth
or mercy
Or knowledge of God
in the land.
2 By swearing and lying,
Killing and stealing
and committing adultery,
They break all
restraint,
With bloodshed upon
bloodshed.
3
Therefore the land will mourn;
Ho 4:12b-13For the spirit of
harlotry has caused them to stray,
And they have played
the harlot against their God.
13
They offer sacrifices on the mountaintops,
And burn incense on
the hills,
Under oaks, poplars,
and terebinths,
Because their shade is good.
Therefore your
daughters commit harlotry,
And your brides
commit adultery.
Ho 4: 18 18
Their drink is rebellion,
They commit harlotry
continually.
Her rulers dearly
love dishonor.
Ho 5: 3 3I know
Ephraim,
And Israel is not
hidden from Me;
For now, O Ephraim,
you commit harlotry;
Israel is defiled.
Ho5:10-15 10 “The
princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark;
I will pour out My
wrath on them like water.
11
Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment,
Because he willingly
walked by human precept.
12
Therefore I will be to Ephraim like a moth,
And to the house of
Judah like rottenness.
13
“When Ephraim saw his sickness,
And Judah saw
his wound,
Then Ephraim went to
Assyria
And sent to King
Jareb;
Yet he cannot cure
you,
Nor heal you of your
wound.
14
For I will be like a lion to Ephraim,
And like a young
lion to the house of Judah.
I, even I,
will tear them and go away;
I will take them
away, and no one shall rescue.
15
I will return again to My place
Till they
acknowledge their offense.
Then they will seek
My face;
In their affliction
they will earnestly seek Me.”
Ho 6:4-7 4 “O
Ephraim, what shall I do to you?
O Judah, what shall
I do to you?
For your
faithfulness is like a morning cloud,
And like the early
dew it goes away.
5
Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets,
I have slain them by
the words of My mouth;
And your judgments are like light that goes forth.
6 For I desire
mercy and not sacrifice,
And the
knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7
“But like men they transgressed the covenant;
There they dealt
treacherously with Me.
Ho 7 2
They do not consider in their hearts
That I
remember all their wickedness;
Now their own deeds
have surrounded them;
They are before My
face.
3
They make a king glad with their wickedness,
And princes with
their lies.
4
“They are all adulterers.
Ho 8: 1-3 1 “Set
the trumpet to your mouth!
He shall come
like an eagle against the house of the
Lord,
Because they have
transgressed My covenant
And rebelled against
My law.
2
Israel will cry to Me,
‘My God, we know
You!’
3
Israel has rejected the good;
The enemy will
pursue him.
Ho 8: 4b-7 They made idols for
themselves—
That they might be
cut off.
5
Your calf is rejected, O Samaria!
My anger is aroused
against them—
How long until they
attain to innocence?
6
For from Israel is even this:
A workm
