Dream August 7, 2006
I dreamt that I was in a frontier
type wood rustic building with removable metal folding chairs. It was a
small Christian leaders meeting. A man who is an American apostle to
communist China was ministering. People were laying on the floor under
the anointing of the Holy Spirit except for a small white haired Chinese
women. She was standing. The American apostle was honoring this woman
who was to go home to her reward now. She was smiling and very happy.
I went to sit on the left side of
the building with a former co-laborer of mine. She did not talk to me
throughout the entire dream. I was reading a 3”x5” old leather Psalter.
The head of a prayer ministry came in ascending the small wooden
platform up front. He sat on a metal folding chair. I did not pay
attention to him absorbed in my reading. He came around sitting behind
me observing me with interest. I did not acknowledge him. He then went
back to the platform laying down on three of the folding metal chairs.
I got up stepping over the people
on the floor to look more closely at the Chinese woman as the American
apostle was continuing his silent eulogy of her. I then stepped towards
the back with my Psalter in hand I began to sing a heavenly song. I
heard the Spirit singing through me as I sensed angelic presence around
me. The song was, Kyrie Elieson, Christie Elieson, Spirtus Sanctus
Elieson, Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, which I repeated several times.
I returned to the chair by the
wall. The woman I came in with sat in the corner of the same chair. She
did not belong in that space. I awoke.
Interpretation:
The Song is the Prophetic Song
that I will be singing to the leaders in the frontlines. The word Kyrie
is the only Greek word song from the early church liturgies. Kyrie
Elieson means Lord have mercy on us. Christie Elieson means Christ have
mercy on us. Spiritus Sanctus is Holy Spirit have mercy on us. It is the
traditional prayer at the foot of the altar thereafter an altar boy
takes the incense before the altar.
The implication is that of the man
in Luke 18:13
13But
the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes
unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a
sinner. 14I
say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that
humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Lamentations 3: 22-26
22 Through the
Lord’S mercies we are not
consumed,
Because His compassions fail
not.
23 They are new
every morning;
Great is Your
faithfulness.
24 “The
Lord is my portion,”
says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
25 The
Lord is good to
those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks
Him.
26 It is good
that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the
Lord.
The Sanctus is another old
traditional church song taken from the book of Revelation:
English it is:
Holy, holy,
(pause)
Holy Lord, (pause)
God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your
Glory.
In Latin it reads :
(1)
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus
Dominus Deus Sabaoth.
Or as it states "Holy, holy, holy, the Lord
God Sabaoth"!
Now what about
Sabaoth? The Hebrew word tsebaoth is the
plural of tsaba'. It means "armies" or "hosts". The word was
transliterated into Greek, and thence into liturgical Latin, as "Sabaoth".
Thus both the Greek Bible and the Latin liturgy transliterate the word.
I. "Lord God
Sabaoth". The meaning of Sabaoth will require explanation. But the
explanation is easy. And we already admit Hebrew words like Amen,
Alleluia, Hosanna and Maranatha.
Ii. "Lord God of armies (or multitudes)".
This is accurate, if we decide not to leave Sabaoth in Hebrew. But we
should then lose the sacred distance of "Lord God Sabaoth".
Iii. "Lord God of hosts" seems to be a fair
compromise.
"God of power and might" is not a translation. It
is an ersatz text. It is not accurate, even as a paraphrase. The armies
in question are not a metaphor. They are the angelic armies, the
heavenly host. (Hugh Ballantyne)
The application is thus the old leadership is
transitioning on to their reward in heaven. The move of the Holy Spirit
is one of repentant worship before the altar; singing for His mercy; as
we are made holy, holy, holy; we are engaged with Him as His Holy Ones
destined to return with the Lord of the Armies of Heaven.

Is6:3&4
3And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is the
Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
4And
the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and
the house was filled with smoke.
Rev 4:8
8The four living creatures, each having six wings,
were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night,
saying:
“Holy,
holy,
holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”
